Do you make that sound when walking?

(1 edit)

Why did you decide to go for earrape as the main soundtrack?

EDIT: Also, hiding simply does NOT work, and the interact button is space instead of enter, unlike what the tutorial said.

Thanks for playing! This was a game jam submission, so we ended up having to rush the soundtrack/SFX implementation, which is why the mixing is loud and off depending on the sound. Good catch concerning the tutorial, we crammed it in with 5 minutes to spare before the submission deadline which is why this mistake slipped through! Concerning the hiding mechanic, you also have to hold space instead of enter, and if the monster sees you, you can't hide from it. All of this could've been in the tutorial, so entirely our bad on that. We still hope you enjoyed the (imperfect) experience overall!

The unique torch design was very clever and is this all pencil drawn? That’s amazing well done! Sound is creepy as well. Great ambience and an enjoyable entry thanks PineConeStudio!

Thank you so much for the kind words! The art is all hand drawn but it is digital (we used a brush to give it a more pencil feel). We're really happy that you liked the game!

Really nice visual aesthetics the sound choice is really good but, the audio pops a lot. Gameplay is decent but, unfortunately, I was unable to finish due to a glitch where after you use an item the message box would keeping popping up. I was able to get past it for a bit because dismissing the message would send me backwards and when I hit a door it would stop but, this didn't work when I broke the boards with the axe.

Thank you for the detailed feedback! We uploaded a new build of the game where we fixed the game breaking bug you encountered multiple times, thanks for pointing it out!

Sorry I'm still having the issue. I think it has to do with being too close to the item use spot when the item is used. The audio seems better though. Best of luck.
